Meet The Instructor

I started my career as a driving instructor in 2013, it was always a childhood dream of mine to teach people how to drive. I am a fully qualified Transport Malta approved A.D.I (Approved Driving Instructor). Here's some quick facts about me:

• Born on the 16th August 1972 in England
• British/Maltese citizen
• Non-smoker
• Driving is my passion whether it be a car or my motorcycle

Over the years I've gained a great deal of experience as a driving instructor and pride myself on my calm and patient approach. 

It is essential that a driver feels as comfortable as possible - I particularly specialise in helping nervous and anxious drivers gain confidence behind the wheel. My vehicle is equipped with a top of the range Garmin dash cam to ensure student's protection. If you choose to take lessons with me, you can expect:

What do I need to do before my first driving lesson?

Before you can begin lessons, you'll need to apply for your learner's permit. Visit the Getting Started page for everything you need to know regarding this.

Can I start driving lessons before I receive my learner's permit?

No - according to Transport Malta regulations you are legally not able to drive without a learner's permit, even if a driving instructor is present. The insurance on the Elite Driving Academy learning vehicle also does not cover any student without it.

How long does the learner's permit take to arrive?

For Maltese citizens, the permit takes approximately 10-14 working days. Non-Maltese citizens should expect to wait up to 30 working days. For this reason it's best to apply for your learner's permit as soon as possible.

Is my application refundable should I decide not to continue with the school?

The only part of the application that is refundable is the Transport Malta fee of €23.25.

Can I book a regular appointment?

Can I book my driving lesson on a Saturday?

Yes, but please bear in mind that Saturday lessons are only accepted as a double (2 hours) due to traffic. I aim to give you a thoroughly worthwhile lesson every single time, and that can't be done if we are spending the majority of the lesson in a traffic jam.

How many driving lessons will I need?

It all depends on the driver and varies greatly.

What will I do in my first driving lesson?

We will start slowly - you aren't ever thrown in at the deep end, but the lessons will still be challenging. In your first few lessons I will gradually introduce you to the different aspects of driving one by one.

How can I pay for my driving lessons?

Revolut and cash are both acceptable payment methods.
